About this wine
Description & facts
Purchased by Xavier’s grandfather René, the blocks of these grapes come from is the largest of the domaine. The plot runs from the bottom to the top of the vineyard and has vines of five different ages ranging from 20 to 61 years old. The slope’s limestone soils are stonier at the top and lighter and deeper at the bottom. These old vines are mature enough to produce high-quality wines. Three separate vinifications produce a blend with enhanced complexity. Expressive aromas of yellow fruits accompanied by white flowers, citrus and pear lead to layers of concentrated flavors, great minerality and a core of acidity. This is the most complex of Monnot’s Meursault cuvées.
