In northern Burgundy, not far from Auxerre, the Chablis appellation covers an approximately fifteen-kilometre radius around the village of the same name. It was the monks of the Cistercian abbey of Pontigny who began growing vines in the region. Chablis is located at the south-eastern extremity of the Paris Basin. The grapes used to craft this Chablis at the Domaine Long-Depaquit estate come from a mosaic of terroirs, which lends remarkable complexity to the wine.

About this wine
Description & facts
Château Long-Depaquit, part of Albert Bichot, is located at the heart of the village of Chablis, in Burgundy’s Yonne department. A stroll through the estate’s grounds, which boast centuries-old trees and a rose garden, offers a unique, timeless experience. An exceptional 65-hectare legacy, our vineyards benefit from a sustainable approach to viticulture. Limiting yields and keeping interventions to a minimum during the vinification process help create authentic, mineral, elegant wines. Barrel ageing is used in moderation to best preserve the expression of each terroir. A new winery was built at the estate in 2014. Not only is it more eco-friendly, it also allows us to continue to improve the quality of our wines by giving them more purity and precision.
