The Mimesi project was born in Tenuta di Ghizzano after a long period of research and experimentation and aims to give life to increasingly identity wines capable of faithfully translating nature, its perfection and its balance. Mimesi wants to show, starting from native grapes from long-lived vineyards, an authentic expression without superstructures, but with the finesse and elegance typical of great wines. Hence the choice of using the Drunk Turtle cocciopesto amphorae for the Sangiovese and the Tava terracotta amphorae for the Vermentino for aging, which guarantee the micro-oxygenation necessary to mature the wine by amplifying the aromas and bringing a real portrait of the territory.

Ghizzano is een historisch huis in Toscane, diep in de glooiende heuvels tussen de stad Pisa en de middeleeuwse stad San Gimignano. De Venerosi Pesciolini familie vestigde zich in de 14e eeuw in het Colline Pisane gebied. Al 26 generaties lang verbouwt de familie wijn, olijfbomen en granen met het grootste respect voor het terroir. Sinds 1996 runt gravin Ginevra Venerosi Pesciolini het landgoed. Haar visie was om in de 21e eeuw biologische en duurzame landbouw te introduceren in het historische landgoed van haar familie. In 2003 lanceerde Ginevra de eerste biodynamische conversie van de wijnbouw.

- 100% Vermentino from the Mulino vineyard, fermented with wild yeasts in concrete then aged for 4 months in Terracotta amphora. 1215 bottles produced.
