Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the skins in stainless steel and concrete vats. The result is a pure, fruity and juicy wine, true to the sweetness and ripeness of the Sangiovese grapes that grow in the territory of Tenuta di Ghizzano.

About this wine
Description & facts
This is the wine that “introduces” the estate into wine bars, wine stores and restaurants all over the world. It is made from Sangiovese grapes with a small percentage of Merlot, grown mainly in our “Santa Maria” and “Il Monte” vineyards.
The philosophy behind IL GHIZZANO is that of offering consumers a fresh, fruity, easy to drink wine featuring all the sweetness of the local Sangiovese.

- The nose opens with a large fruity bouquet, enriched with pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is pleasantly fresh, with a delicate sweetness typical of the Sangiovese of the Tuscan territory.

- The harvested is taking place only by hand. The fermentation, with indigenous yeasts, takes place partly in cement vats with a maceration on the skins for about 4 months and partly in stainless steel tanks
