About this wine
Description & facts
Domaine du Pavillon, part of Albert Bichot, is located south of Pommard, in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyards, winery, cellar and 18th century manor house are surrounded by a wall. The estate's 15 hectares of vines include almost 4 hectares of "Clos des Ursulines". Just like at Domaine du Clos Frantin in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Albert Bichot practices organic viticulture here with constant care for respect for the complex balances in nature. The winery was modernized in 2016 so that they could make more of the single vineyards of the Côte de Beaune, in barrels of different sizes perfectly adapted to the single-vineyard approach typical in Burgundy. As for the other Côte-d'Or and Mercurey estates, Domaine du Pavillon's wines are certified organic.
