This is the Maremma area’s most classic wine, the finest expression of this region rich in history,
culture and landscape. Here the Sangiovese grape is traditionally called Morellino, and as opposed to the rest of Tuscany it is particularly well-rounded and rich in tannin.

Fattoria dei Barbi is een van de slechts vijf landgoederen in Montalcino die al meer dan 100 jaar onafgebroken in bedrijf zijn. De Colombini familie stichtte het prestigieuze landgoed in 1790. De familie hielp de reputatie van Brunello di Montalcino op te bouwen als een wijn van grote kwaliteit en prestige wereldwijd. Het landgoed Fattoria dei Barbi is eigendom van en wordt beheerd door de erfgenaam van de 20ste generatie, Stefano Cinelli Colombini.

- The bouquet is nose vibrating with distinct notes of red berries, plums, blueberries, cherry. Light sweet and spicy scents. supple and round in the palate, showing a good balance and integration which last in the aftertaste wrapped by a nuance of ripe cherry

- Vinificatie
- In order to preserve all the fruity aromas the grapes have been cooled at a temperature of 18° before the crushing. The fermentation has been long and slow,lasting two weeks under a temperature that never went over 28°.
