Tenuta Campo al Mare is located in Bolgheri, the home of Super Tuscans and international grapes in Tuscany. The territory is a natural theatre, protected to the east by the Metalliferous Hills which slope down towards the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The particular conditions give structure but also elegance and freshness to the wines of Bolgheri.
Tenuta Campo al Mare
Tenuta Campo al Mare extends over 30 hectares divided into six parcels located in the areas with the highest wine-growing suitability of Bolgheri. From the Fornacelle vineyard near the Tyrrhenian Sea, characterised by sandy soils suited up to the Segalari vineyard on the highest production area of Bolgheri, where Cabernet Franc expresses its most important characteristics, each parcel is dedicated to cultivation of a single vine variety according to its suitability.
The territory is a natural theatre, protected to the east by the Metalliferous Hills which slope down towards the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The conformation of this area leads to a special microclimate characterized by hot summers always cooled by the continuous winds coming from the sea and channeled by the Tuscan archipelago. Approaching the coast, the soils vary from being clay loam to lose. These particular conditions give structure but also elegance and freshness to the wines of Bolgheri.

Elegance, strong identity and strong bond to the territory whose diversity and values they deeply respect
Bolgheri is a territory characterized by international grapes. The climatic features have conditioned the viticulture of this part of Tuscany, identifying Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot as the right grape varieties for this area reminiscent of Bordeaux. Power, elegance, finesse and a great inclination to aging are the peculiar characteristics of the wines made from these grapes used as a blend or in purity.
Tenuta Campo al Mare
Bolgheri Rosso DOC
A blend of international grapes such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes from the estate’s production parcels, Campo al Mare stands out for its unique style. A great softness and wide flexibility in pairings.
The wine is right and vibrant purple red and the nose reveals a large bouquet of aromas and flavours of red fruit, fresh herbs, elegant note of milk-chocolate and vanilla. A crunchy mouth-feel with silky tannins on the palate and olfactory.
Tenuta Campo al Mare
Baia al Vento Bolgheri Superiore DOC
On the Bolgherese provincial road, in the heart of the best production of Bolgheri wines, the Folonari family cultivates about 7 hectares of Merlot destined for the production of Baia al Vento. A vineyard characterised by soils rich in minerals and iron that give structure, elegance and abundance of aroma. The Merlot grapes from Vallone dei Messi are very pleasant on the palate and characterised by a dense structure and the typical sensations of ripe red fruit that evolve and enrich through long refinement times.
Deep ruby red colour. Hints of plum and berries, pepper and aubergine. Great pleasantness and mouthfeel sensations of grapes that balance and almost exceed the tertiary aromas derived from the wood.
