The Côte d’Or is the heart of Burgundy where the most prestigious wines of the region are produced. In order to highlight this exceptional terroir, the extended name of “Bourgogne Côte d’Or” has been created in 2017. The white “Secret de Famille” (Family Secret) comes from this very limited and specific geographical area; it is indeed crafted from a carefully sourced blend of grapes (vineyards in villages well-known for their white wines: Saint Aubin, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet...). We treat these wines as “Villages” wines, with a "haute-couture" vinification and ageing. |

About this wine
Description & facts
The Bichot family winery is one of the most influential producers in Burgundy. The family settled there in 1350 and in 1831 Bernard Bichot started a wine business in Monthélie, on the Côte de Beaune and his son Hippolyte bought the first vines in Volnay. Son Albert Bichot gave the family business a new impulse at the end of the 19th century and settled permanently in the city of Beaune, where it is still located 5 centuries later. At that time the wines were already famous worldwide. |
