Wine artist Géraldine Louise is a brave, enthusiastic, and sparkling woman who makes top cuvées in Burgundy with a lot of know-how. The winery is located in the medieval village of Rosey, between Givry and Buxy, on the outskirts of Côte Chalonnaise. Maison Géraldine Louise is a so-called micro-négoce, so from most of her wines she only makes a few barrels. It is abundantly clear that her focus is on quality instead of quantity.

About this wine
Description & facts
Winemaker Géraldine Lochet worked for nine years at Château Cary Potet in Buxy after obtaining her BTS diploma in viticulture and oenology. After this she made the switch to the renowned Domaine Philippe Colin from Chassagne-Montrachet. After twenty years of making wine for others, in 2016 she decided to start her own trading house under the name Maison Géraldine Louise.
She now makes seven different white wines, including two from the Côte de Beaune. Since 2019, she also owns two plots facing south with Aligoté sticks from 1945 on a bottom of sand and granite. She is not only a talented winemaker, but she also has lots of experience in viticulture. For example, she teaches at the CFPPA in Beaune, an education for people who did not grow up in a winemaking family.

- Tasting note
- This wine comes from the flanks of Mont Avril, south of the village of Givry. Elegance is the common thread in Géraldine Lochet's wines and it is therefore not surprising that she has given this cuvée the name Elégance. You can taste the elegance in the beautiful fruit, the beautiful length and a mineral aftertaste.
- Wine-food combination

- Vinification
