About this wine
Description & facts
After selling the company Vins Piron in 2020, Dominique Piron, keeping all the vineyards, refocused as a simple winemaker, at Clos du Vieux Bourg, in Corcelles en Beaujolais with all the family vines – 35 hectares. This new story will continue the Piron family vineyards. The new cellar is installed in the old church of the village. Written tracks attest of the existence of this building since the years 900 ! For a long time, this place was a big crossroad in France. When Charlemagne kingdom was divided in 843, we were here on the border between Franc and Burgundian kingdom.. and so on over centuries. Dominique Piron is the 14th generation in the Piron family, growing vineyards and making wine in Morgon since 1590.
