About this wine
Description & facts
Tenuta Campo al Mare is located in Bolgheri, the home of Super Tuscans and international grapes in Tuscany. The territory is a natural theatre, protected to the east by the Metalliferous Hills which slope down towards the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The particular conditions give structure but also elegance and freshness to the wines of Bolgheri.Tenuta Campo al Mare extends over 30 hectares divided into six parcels located in the areas with the highest wine-growing suitability of Bolgheri. From the Fornacelle vineyard near the Tyrrhenian Sea, characterised by sandy soils suited up to the Segalari vineyard on the highest production area of Bolgheri, where Cabernet Franc expresses its most important characteristics, each parcel is dedicated to cultivation of a single vine variety according to its suitability.
