The vineyards on the “La Lobera” estate are planted in soil of alluvial origin, with the characteristic boulders and excellent structure, porosity and drainage, providing a suitable foundation and microclimate to grow this variety to its highest potential. Sauvignon Blanc is a variety that adapts perfectly to the climate and soil conditions of the DO Rueda. Made entirely from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the character of this appreciated grape variety is showing all its character without masking its uniqueness. The result a very intense wine in the nose, with a good acid balance and minerality.

Valdecuevas vineyard lies in the heart of Rueda appellation at 770 meters above sea level, where the work developed in the terroir is the key. - The color is straw yellow and on the nose the are tropical aromas with citric hints prevails. A soft mineral notes that gives it a strong personality. On the palate the wine is round, fresh and elegant.

- Vinification
- After a period of cold maceration and the extraction and clarification of the must, slow fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of between 13ºC and 15ºC to protect the primary aromas so unique to this variety. Once the fermentation is finished, the wine remains in contact with its fine lees with the goal of making it fuller-bodied and more persistent in the mouth.

- The ground is rocky and full of gravel from the alluvium left by the River Duero as it passes through the area.The soil at Valdecuevas is one of the key factors in the excellent quality of its wines, as the aeration permitted by the gravel, in conjunction with the area’s special microclimate with dry, very cold winters and hot summers with cool nights, results in the highest quality grapes.The soil texture is sandy/loamy and it has a basic pH.
